Does anybody know how to reconnect the two shafts back together again.....chain portion got stuck in a limb and i jerked and the 2 shafts came apart....trying to figure how to reconnect them without taken it back to the shop...surely i am not the first person to do this.......thanks in advance!

No it slips in the other one....
1" goes into a 1.5" tube but has a spacer.
