Hello all,
I have a JD X380 with only 34 hours on it. It suddenly began sputtering, backfires a few times and stops. It won't start back up immediately, but will within a few minutes. It does the same with or without the blades engaged. It worked perfectly up to this point. I considered a possible bad fuel problem, but the first part of the gas from the can seemed fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Since I think this machine may still be under warrenty I will advise only to drain and clean fuel tank. Also change fuel filter. If this doesnt help let us know.

Yep. Good advice. If available run only real gasoline, not that awful gasohol junk. A little SeaFoam in the fuel works wonders.
