Just wanted to post up my issue and how I resolved it. My 2016 Troy Bilt (50-inch deck) that I bought used with only 29 hours was spitting, sputtering and cutting out on me after only about 10 minutes of use. It would run great then start acting up. It was acting like vapor lock. After some research, I found several different posts with folks that had the same issue. Some changed the fuel filter, or found debris in the carb or changed out the ignition coils. After changing the fuel filter and wrapping the fuel line near exhaust to prevent vapor lock it still acted up. I remembered that one post recommended loosening the gas cap. Well, that solved my issue. After I loosened up the gas cap it never acted up again. The guy I bought it from thought it was bad gas and was selling after moving into town but it was an even easier fix than changing out the fuel. Take care.
