RZT-S42 oil light flashing

I'm working on a Cub Cadet RZT-S42 zero turn mower and the oil light is flashing off and on and it's reading change oil and then it shows the hours on the engine. I've changed the oil and it still does it. I unplugged the wire at the oil switch next to the oil filter and it still blinks on and off. I unhooked the positive battery cable for about 20 minutes and it still does it. Anybody have any suggestions on where I need to look to fix this problem? Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

Usually you have to reset the maintenance minders on digital hour meters by holding down the button for several seconds while that particular one is being displayed.

This meter does not have any buttons on it anywhere to let a person do any kind of setting or zeroing.

Then you just wait till it stops.
