Hello. I'm working on the following mower:

Model 406777
Type 0128-E1
Code 030516YG

John Deere L120
GXL120A062841

I'm replacing the head gaskets. When each piston is at TDC, I can take my two thumbs and move the piston side-to-side ever so slightly. Is this acceptable or indicative of a problem?

Acceptable... and actually desirable.
If this did not happen, engine would seize due to expansion at running temperatures.
