My son bought a used 5hp murray push mower. Has a 5hp briggs & stratton moter. It runs great when you mow on level ground. Will go dead on a hill. Has anybody had this problem before and or what did you do to fix it? Thanks

Is the tank full with gas.....
clean out the tank and then the carb, make sure you always have fuel going into the carb, then try.

Tank is full, I will take the carb off tomorrow and clean it. He bought the mower last year and it has done that since then. Thank you.
