I bought this mower last year

Poulan Pro PR550N22RH3

It cut great. Then the blade got dull and started shredding the grass. So I sharpened it and it cut the blades clean again. Now, this season, same thing. So I sharpen the blade but it doesn't fix the problem. Shredding grass and after day or two, tops are brown and white. So I think that maybe I didn't sharpen correctly. I buy new blade from website. Install, same problem. So I try different mowing heights, different walking speeds, clean air filter, check oil and even adjust spring to make mower run faster. Nothing works. The mower runs fine and doesn't bog down or anything like that. Nobody would use this mower and think that there is a problem but this is a huge problem. Please help!

and no the blade is not on upside down. It is even labeled.

Is the mower slightly lower in front than in back? It needs to be this way. If it's the other way (lower in the rear than in front) the blade mangles the grass.

Two things usually case torn grass
Dull blades
Blades running too slow.

Blades on upside down can make for a bad cut as can simply trying to mow too fast.
Wet grass makes things worse.
