LGT2654 Transaxle Swap

So, I have an LGT2654 that had a transaxle problem. Through some googling I found out that the Tuff Torq K46BN is undersized for the mower, and will continue to fail. So, through some more googling, I found some people that had success swapping it out with a Tuff Torq K66 or K71B with reasonable effort/modifications. My question is: are there any other makes/models of transaxle that would work? Since these transaxles seem to cost the same as a new mower, having a bigger variety to choose from would really help out when looking for a used one. Thanks in advance!
