Hi, I have a 8hp TVM195 engine that was on the ride on i purchased.
It died the other week while mowing with fuel coming out the exhaust.
I purchased a carby rebuild kit, installed it all. I set the mixer and idle to 1 1/2 turns and it starts ok. It runs fine except when i enable the blades and start cutting into thick grass then it cuts out and died with fuel coming out the exhaust again.
Im not sure why it keeps doing it.
I looked in the oil and it has fuel in it now too.

Any ideas to try or suggestions.
Thanks

I'm sure there are some other possible reasons but I know it can happen if your float is sinking due to having a hole in it or it is not moving properly. One or more of the more qualified members here will likely have further info for you. I'm more of an operator than a mechanic.

either the float is sticking open or if the float has a hole in it and is filling up with fuel or the choke is on

OR the main jet is missing.
Very common on the Nikki carbs with the white plastic do dad.

Pretty simple and easy to make sure that your float floats, moves freely and is adjusted properly. Then take it from there.

Edit: And change the oil!
