Hey guys,
I've inherited a Z425 that won't move on the right side. The lever moves but feels a little "spongy". Since I'm not that familiar with the mower, I'm not sure if that normal or not. The left side feels a little spongy too. I check the bypass valve and it's tightened. I put it on jack stands and the right wheel spins freely. I had it running with the bypass valve loose and oil came out.

Can someone give me suggestions on how to troubleshoot? I don't have access to a service manual and haven't been able to find one online.

Service manual for the drives will come the drive manufacture not JD.
How many hours on the mower. Have you changed the oil?
It is a TZT7-D drives. Something Hydro-gear and JD decided to make. Good luck with that one.
