Spitting distance to the state. Mt Shasta is in Northern California. This part of the state is not like Southern California. It has real people that do not think like the southern end. I was born in the shadow of that mountain. That part of California has all 4 seasons, not just one that varies a few degrees each season.

guy in the van was under the influence of narcotics, crossed over the line at about 70 in a 50 and hit the Subaru head on.......not sure the driver of the car is going to live through the night

Insurance....UGH !

'Bout the only thing I hate more than paying income tax is INSURANCE.............
We live about 40 miles from the Gulf of Mexico.
There were 3 or 4 hurricanes hit various areas of the Gulf Coast, costing insurance companies billions of dollars.
Isn't THAT what they are in business to do.....cover losses of those who buy their product????

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

They exist to MAKE MONEY !!

So, when they have to pay out, they have to make it back, by raising rates!
Now, I don't know for sure, but DOUBLING the premium is a bit out of the realm of "raising the rates..."

At least, I would think so.................
