Hello,

I have a John Deere L125 (Home Depot Special) It's about 7 years old. The battery has 12.5 volts. I replaced the started solenoid. I also replaced the started. There are 12.5 volts to the starter. What is happening is very weird. Turn the key to start it and the started spins for a second then stops. I also jumped the started from my truck directly to the started, meaning, place the jumper cable to the battery of my truck to the battery ground of the tractor's battery and then straight to the positive lead of the started, and it produced the same results. I can spin the fly wheel manually, so the engine is not seized.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt

Here's an update: I just spun the fly wheel manually a couple of times, it seemed to release compression and then it started. Sure hope it isn't and engine issue.

Latest update, I saw this video in another forum. I believe I fixed it. Check out the link below.
