Just bought a John Deere D100. Looks almost brand new and came with a new deck. First run I hit a stump and had to pick the mower deck up to get it unstuck. One blade was badly bent downward and just digging holes. Replaced it and never could get a good cut afterwards. Had the step look with the uncut strip in the middle. Leveled the deck, but the left side blade seemed higher then the right. Replaced both blades, re-leveled deck and still had a crappy step cut. Today I hit a rock and cut the rock in half. Left blade is tight to spin by hand, Right blade plane is off 2-3" and was hitting the divider on the deck. A few taps with the hammer fixed that. Where do I go from here? Deck is off and I am sure another set of blades is in the future, but do I keep looking for a bent deck or do I look at spindles? They are not obviously bent by looking at them.
