I have read what I could find about types of blades, and their performance.
I live in NC, and my yard is slowly being taken over by Crabgrass. :-(
I know, I need to kill it, plug, fertilizer, seed and lime, which I have done several times in the past 25 years, but in the middle of the summer, the weeds start to return.

Anyway, Crabgrass is thick like carpet, and stays damp, even in the sunlight.
When I mow, it clumps up, and leaves rows, which I have to keep running over to dissipate.
I have read about other types of blades that may assist me with this problem.
Any ideas?

Maybe lower cut blades, or high cut blades?
This is my second mowing season, and the factory blades are still on the mower.
Last spring, and this spring, I removed the deck, cleaned the deck really, really good, and sharpened the blades.
This spring I sprayed the bottom of the deck with dry lube, which I hope will keep some of the grass from sticking.
But this did not help with the clumping and rows.

Go to the dealer and get the high lift blades that they use for when they have a bagger on a machine you won't believe the huge difference!

what part of NC? if you are in the sandy areas, those high lift blades will sand blast your deck to nothing. If your in the red clay areas youll be ok
