blade control cable

I have a lawnboy model 10301 lawn mower. I need to replace the blade control cable. My question is how to remove the old cable and install the new.

Do you mean the brake/kill switch cable that is attached to the bail on the handlebar? If so, you just compress the spring on the brake and lift the cable out thru the slot, and then use needle-nose pliers to compress the plastic wings on the cable sheath and pull it out of the hole.
