I need a new riding mower. I do not need a zero turn model. I'm leaning towards a Husqvarna (dealer grade, not big box grade) due to their nice fabricated decks. They offer Kawasaki, Briggs and Kohler engines. I wouldn't mind a John Deere either (dealer grade, not big box grade).

1.) Any input on Husqvarna and Deere mowers in general?
2.) Any other brands / models I should consider?
3.) Thoughts on Kawasaki vs. Briggs (Endurance Series) vs. Kohler (7000 Series)

Cutting about 1.5 acres
Mostly flat (small ditch bank to cut)

Thanks for your input!

As a repair shop and working at a dealer my point of view (Simplicity) Might cost a little more to buy but worth the extra money. John Deere sells on its name but still a good quality mower, not saying anything bad about any make mower or where you buy it.

Everyone will have there own opinion, but with the choices you mention Husqvarna with the Kawasaki engine would be my choice. I'd also stay with a dealer and stay away from the BBS mowers.
