Almost any good hardware store should carry it ... it is also sold for sticking on concrete and stair treads for no slip traction... :smile:KennyV

Although hundreds of thousands were made and millions of acres were mowed with them, it seems as if Murrays aren't recognized as anything but junk so administrators don't want their site associated with them and they are treated as if they were a red headed stepchild.

I remembered saving a pic of a Murray from another site I once belonged to. That site didn't have Murray listed but had Other as a brand choice so a member re-named his tractor "OTHER". Below is the pic of his "OTHER" lawn tractor. I'll bet that would be a blast having that guy as a neighbor.

well, i looked mine over and its not the best built....but! with maintenance and care i dont see the problem...its very simple and easy to work on....i run into people who dont do anything to care for they're machine...beat it to death in short time and buy a new one...what a waste!

I have a Brother In-law that has that same tractor to mow the yard at RoadRunner Ranch. He is a "0" maintenance type fellow so anything that's done to it I often get the job so I'm fairly familiar how easy they are to repair and maintain.

He is approaching 80 so his Murray that's now nearly 10 years old may be his last lawn tractor. And it has a story to go with it. He loves to play Blackjack so he went to Topeka to the Casino. When he departed that facility he had enough cash to by his Murray and several years worth of gasoline for it. We're still laughing about that one and call it Casino.

Hi Reddragon

I think you could get some of that non slip self adhesives rubber at a home improvement store to like Lowe's or Menards or some box store like, where they put it on step like the other person all so said and waterproof that they put in tubs or shower and places like that.
