I've heard that the honda gcv 160 have a timing belt, and I wanted to know how many hours can it work before I have to change it, approximately.

Somewhere between 10 and 30 years depending upon how well you look after the engine.
Only ever seen one broken but then so was the rod.

From my understanding, it is designed to last the life of the engine.

Which will be 10 ti 39 years depending upon who well you look after the engine.
The belts get replaced with the rings.
