Please excuse if this is on the wrong Thread but I figured I would ask this since it is a Briggs and Stratton.

I purchased a new 020559 1800 PSI Electric Power Washer about 2 years ago. Basically used it 3 times.
This year I went to use it and found water flowing from inside the pump area.
Taking it apart I saw the High Pressure hose broken away from the pump. I thought oh, no big deal, I will just order one.RIGHT
Absolutely NO support from Briggs and Stratton. They do not have parts for this model. I even called Sears Parts Direct and found their model that was this Briggs unit. They also do not have parts for this.
One person told me these are disposable. REALLY? I paid 300.00 for this.
Maybe I am one of the few hard working people that does not have a disposable income.
Does anyone have a contact to get this part?
No Part Number because there is no parts list.
I have attached what this part looks like.
ANY assistance would be appreciated.

:welcome:

Not meaning to sound superiour, but $ 300 for a power washer is a throw away unit price $ 1000 is where you start to get to the serviceable washers.
They are a lot more expensve to make than most users appreciate.

As for the fix.
I am assuming that the hose shown in the picture is split and the ends are servicable.
If that is the case take it to one of the specialist hose companies that do hydraulic hoses.
Most also do high pressure water as well.
Sit down before they tell you the price and bring your big wallet.

Yes I can understand that. I definately would not buy this if this was going to be used commercially but I figured just to wash my small house and occasionally my car, a 300 dollar investment was good. Live and learn I guess.
The hose is not split, it is the plastic ends that break.
Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.

Slightly different problem but the same solution.
Except take the whole unit with you and don't turn up 1/2 before closing.
The local Pirtek ( hose franchise ) man has got by backside off the hot plate on more than one occasion.
It is amazing what sort of things they can do nowdays.

I get what you did. I have been there.

.But a oil rag, degreaser cloth, I love Simple Green) and a clean one is how to do it. Mostly take the top and shrouds off, The clean the **** outta them.
Just clean it good... it pays!
