I have a timecutter ss 42 35 and when engage the blades I hear a loud whining noise. I dropped the deck washed off everything, put back on mower and no change. I spun the blades and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the bearings. Clutch???

If it is coming from the deck I doubt it is the clutch. Did you check the idler pulleys. Plus you have to remove the belt to check both the idler pulleys and spindle bearings.

along with what was previously mentioned above, also check your blades to ensure they are balanced. had to do this on a freinds mower, his blades were out of balance.:tractor:
