I am looking at GT 52 XLS to mow rough ground with slopes of 15 to 20 deg. The other contender is the toro swx 5050.

Is the GT transmission maintainable? What opinions are there between these machines?

I prefer the XLS, but terrain, equipment requirements, engine offered, quality of cut, and most of all what features YOU need and want. Happy shopping!
