I have just under half an acre of a yard and was looking to get a ride on mower to take care of (mowing aerating & dethatching). Budget was around 2k. I was thinking of getting the John Deere D130 or D140 but then I read that hills and ride on mowers don't mix well.
I have about 50x60' area with around a 10% slope at the back, a 30x20' area with a 25% slope at the side and a 40x30' 15% slope at the front. Given this, I’m wondering if I should give up on getting a ride on mower and instead get a self propelled one or just stick with paying others to mow it for me.
