I have a couple of MTD built Huskee riders, both of which use the plastic steering arm bushings p/n 941-0475
These things don't hold up worth a darn and are responsible for considerable play in the steering.
Has anybody tried replacing these with bronze oilite bushings?
If so, how did it work out??

I have replaced many nylon bushings with brass bushings. They last much longer with proper maintenance. I use lithium grease most of the time. I have not done this for you particular machine but for many others. I especially like to change out bushings in the front end steering parts. I have even added them in places they did not put them.

No experience with this specific app, but with a little more effort, perhaps drill and screw in self tapping zerk? And please provide bushing pns if available (for users).
