Hi there I believe my ride-on is an old whitefied the engine did a piston ring and the best option was buy a bolt on replacement. I've it all going just about but every time I run power to coil it blows the fuse. Can anybody help out in how it to get firing away... Help!!!!

Normally 2 things cause this.
1 fuse is too small. What is fuse rated for?
2 Power wire is grounding out. Check all wires for freed ends that could be touching ground.

Ok sweet. Where or how should I get power to coil? I think I might of butt the coil not sure yet.

Steve, it might help us to know what brand and model of engine you are trying to hook up. By blowing the fuse, you either have a short, or trying to hook up power to something that doesn't need power.

Yeah sorry it's a Zongshen power star XP620. I'll see if I can post a picture of the mower thanks for all your help

Ok found that I fried the ignition coil somehow

Usually this is because you put 12V accidentially into the earth cut out wire.
Very easy to do.
The thin black wire must either be connected to earth ( turned off ) or open ( turned on )
Good luck trying to get a replacement .
