Electric fan working intemittantly

First post here, guys! MTLGHS...electric fan kicking off intermittently after load put on. Shut mower off to just ignition, and still keeps up intermittent for a couple
minutes, then straightens out and runs fine.

Am I correct in this circuit has 3 controllers that would contribute to this? Coolant temp switch...resister and relay?

ANY help is super as electrical can get tricky and time consuming. thanks guys!

Tell more about fan run. Normally a thermistor (resistor) on a probe in coolant will start conducting at a certain temp and signal the fan to run. So is the fan normally on most of the time? Fans are not necessarily controlled by ignition switches on cars and often run after shut down. What does the coolant temp gauge show when fan comes on, hot?? Others will chime in...
