My brother-in-law picked up a Bolens riding mower to use at his property at other than his house and when he starts driving it after he lets out on the clutch/pedal brake the pedal will slowly come all the way out thus making the speed of the tractor increase. Can anyone give us an answer to what may be causing this issue? Thanks

You should have a speed selector some place on, under the dash or on the right fender to select the travel speed. If that linkage to that lever has come loose it will cause the same issue.

ILENGINE; seems like everything is connected to the shifter on the dash. Its a model# 13WC762F065 Bolens mower. He said if you don't hold your foot on the clutch pedal some to keep it at the speed you wanted and you took your foot off of it that's when the pedal would come all the way back and pick up speed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Follow the speed control rod down to were it connects to the speed selector plate. That plate is suppose to pivot and lock into notches on the brake/clutch pedal that control how far the pedal moves when you let the clutch out. It sounds like something is goofy there and isn't locking into the notches.

ILENGINE; that speed selector plate seems to look fine. Any other suggestions on what might be the problem? Thanks
