New member here, and new snapper owner as well. Received a RER 28" from father-in-law that he has had since new In great shape and no mechanical issues what so ever. Only thing I'd like is to add an electric start. It has the mounting holes on the rear for the starter. Is there a place that you can buy a kit with everything?

Locate model and serial numbers on mower sticker or data plate then go to Snapper.com. You will need to purchase ignition switch with keys, starter, solenoid, wiring harness etc. I would just email Snapper with numbers and explain situatation tell them you need parts and wiring diagram for your model, ask for parts quote plus shipping.

You will have to replace the flywheel, unless you are very lucky and have one with a starter gear teeth on it. I could see this job costing you close to $200 if not more.
