After an episode where I got into some boggy ground and got the mower mired down and had to pull it out the mower won`t go. Starts fine. The mower belt seems to work fine but the machine will not go forwar or reverse. Any help out there?

Do you have a manual for it?
Does it have a rod that is pushed/pulled to allow you to push it?

I mean a rod that could have gotten moved that has it in a neutral position.

Or the actual linkage that shifts it, may have gotten damaged/disconnected.

How did you tow it out of the mud?
From the manual...

Important: Always push the machine by hand. Do not
tow the machine, because damage may occur.
This machine has an electric-brake mechanism, and to push
the machine, the ignition key needs to be in the Run position.
The battery needs to be charged and functioning for the
electric brake to be disengage.

Pushing the Machine
1. Park the machine on a level surface, and disengage the
blade-control switch.
2. Move the motion-control levers outward to the park
position, stop the engine, and wait for all moving parts
to stop before leaving the operating position.
3. Locate the bypass levers on the frame on both sides of
the engine.
4. Move the bypass levers forward through the key hole
and down to lock them in place (Figure 24).
Note: Ensure this is done for each lever.
5. Move the motion-control levers inward to the neutral
position and turn the ignition key to the Run position.
Note: Do not start the machine.
Note: You can now push the machine by hand.

I did not go through the setup procedure for pushing the mower before I pulled it out of the mud. But all I did was to pull it sideways to get it facing out. It was then that I realized I had not set it up for pushing so I did that (by the book). After I pushed it a short didtance I then started the mower. It was now set up to run with the small rods pulled out and locked in teh run position. Everything worked fine just no locomotion either forward or reverse. Stymied.

There are two belts, correct...
Check the drive belt for routing and condition.
