So with the first applications of lime/fertilizer down, when do you guys typically put down your grub control? My lawn is starting to come in nicely now and with my first cut approaching this weekend, I am wondering when I should put it down.

Also do you guys mulch the first few weeks or pick up the grass. Usually I just like to mulch when the grass starts producing seeds.

Don't know about grubs but I always mulch. Good for lawn.

Two years ago, first summer in my house, my yard was grub infested. I tried "milky spores". This bacteria kills grubs and supposedly one treatment lasts for years. Last year my grub problem was much reduced. I'm hoping I have no grubs this year. This might work for you.

I forgot! I have been mulching exclusively for many years with no problems. Mulching is the best way to cut and bagging adds lots of time to the job. My mower leaves no visible clippings.
