Does anyone know what Briggs motor is the easiest swap for a Kohler Courage 19hp. I picked up a yard man that had been in someones garage for 3 years and not used. they said their kid ran it out of oil and it broke. Well, I put oil in it and got it to turn over(jumped solenoid and a shot of carb cleaner). There was a lot of oil on the outside of the engine also, I dont know if it was from something leaking or just spilled from bad pouring. I know these motors have problems and if I cant find any easy and cheap fixes for the Kohler, Im looking at putting a B&S on it. I only paid them $30 for it since they were taking it to scrap, so all Im out right now is a $12 solenoid that I cant get in because of weather today. Just starting to look for options to get this thing going. Im probably going to stop messing with the Kohler at $100 or should I just start looking for a briggs now?
