Hey guys, new to the site, hopefully somebody can help me out.
I have an 18hp Simplicity residential z-turn mower, 44", about 9 years old. Two summers ago I had a hi-pressure line (between the right side pump and wheel motor) develop a tiny split, and it began to leak fluid when in use. I assumed it was a weak part, replaced it and went on with my life.
Last summer that same right side developed a shudder when engaged. It still worked, but was noticeably weaker than the left side. Late in the fall the other original hi-pressure hose on that side began leaking midway between the pump and wheel motor.
I just got around to working on it. I removed and disassembled the wheel motor and everything looked ok. O-rings were still smooth, no metal bits floating around, no wear on the internals, everything nice and shiny. The pump looks a bit more daunting to tear into so I thought I'd seek advice beforehand.
So, any ideas? Thanks in advance.
