Engine diesel fuel pump need a fix

I have a Kubota T1600 lawn tractor. It is approx. 20 years old. The orginial fuel pump quit working and I went to Kubota dealership and bought 2 and neither lasted over 3 months. Went to Auto parts store bought a Mr Gasket electric diesel fuel pump and still is not working correctly. Does anyone have a suggestion or fix for this problem? Thanks, Michale

Do you have your original fuel pump? Diaphragm in pump is bad. Do you have shop manual? If not I would purchase one from Kubota's website. If you have your original fuel pump you might be able to replace diaphragm and be good to go. If you do not have original fuel pump I would GOOGLE Kubota, model number, diesel fuel pump. Some quality parts of yesteryear are not of the same quality today. Don't give up, take your time and do a thorough search. It's times like this, I'm guilty, when I wish I would have kept the original part, for numbers, matching up, etc.
