I just pulled my cub cadet out to begin use for the summer. I did the following:

Changed blades
Charged battery
Filled with gas

I started the machine and pulled the PTO switch to engage the blade and nothing happpens. I never use reverse switch and I tested the seat switch by getting off it while it was running without brake on and it kills the engine. I get the feeling this is something stupid but I dont really know. Any ideas?

The easiest place to start would be to have somebody to sit on the seat, pull the pto button, and see if you have 12v at the clutch. If you do then it is most likely a clutch problem, like out of adjusted if adjustable, or if no power to clutch, then either a bad pto switch or relay.
