Hi, I'm new to the forum.

Just wanted to get your input on the type of blade (mulching, hi lift, standard) that gives you the desired results with out clogging. May be there's something else that someone came up with that fixes the clogging problem.

I have a Toro TimeMaster 30" and use the side discharge chute. The mulching blades that came with it make a very nice looking yard but the mower would clog up easily under the deck and at the chute.

I found hi lift blades and standard blades that fit using a different adapter washer. Out of the 3 different blades the standard did the best job and the deck and chute would not clog up. The wing on the standard blade is just as long as the cutting edge and definitely moved more air.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that had this clogging problem.

When you use a mulching blade it keeps the grass under the deck so it can chop it up many times. The high lift or a bagging blade is made to cut and discharge the grass.

If you are cutting tall or thick grass a mulching blade will clog up the deck every time.
