I picked up an Aircap Edger/Trimmer recently at a garage sale. The engine runs but has low compression, so I am looking to replace the rings. The engine is a 2 cycle Tecumseh, looks to be around 30cc. The number on the engine label is 817/601/L158K4. I searched for that number but found nothing. Can anyone help me identify this engine so that I can rebuild it? I can provide more info or post pics if that would help. Thanks.

Well I found out what it is ... a Tecumseh TC200. Can anyone tell me where to get rings for it?

Tecumseh went belly-up and sold off the parts end of the business & support to a company called CPD.They are located in Anoka MN. Hours 7:00am to 5:00pm CST, Monday through Friday. 1 (800) 668-6633
I have this off a web site....that the husqvarna chainsaws model 33 + 35 are the same bore and use the same piston ring of 1.5 mm.
So it maybe worth you looking into..!
