Still sounds like a fuel problem. Take the air filter off and start it up and just as it's starting to slow down to stop spray alittle starting fuild in the carb and if it picks back up in speed it's still a fuel problem.

Disconnect the fuel line at the carb and check for flow of gas, could be fuel filter or bad gas line.

check your linkage from the carb to the governor arm, might be binding or in the wrong holes on the carb

It still sounds like carb problem. You should check the float again and make sure it's not sticking open. Also check your oil , smell and see if it has a gas smell, if it does the float is probably not shutting off the fuel and its going pass the piston down the cylinder to the oil.

Does it start good? Do only have trouble after it is hot? It sounds like it is fuel related, did you clean and replace the needle and seat. Make sure after the motor is warmed up and that the butterfly valve is opened all the way and not partially closed.

If you look up your carb you will find there isn't a pilot adjusting screw. There is a low speed adjustment screw which is limited. What is your mower doing? Lots of expert advice here on the forum that will help you with your problem.

Check your unloader valve, sometimes they bend or stick

Take the fuel line off at the carb and see if you have a flow of gas, if not Some gas tanks have fuel filters in the bottom where the line connects and also if it has a fuel shutoff check that out for debris

Unloosen the nut and and turn the adjuster nut towards the nut that you just loosen, should take some of the play out of the drive handle. Do a little at a time, you don't want to over tighten you should have alittle play when your done

If you haven't found the right belt yet, take the broken one to a good hardware store that handles v-belts and look at 3L V-belts and have help for the right lenght it will get you by until you can get the right one.

I would try to adjust the clutch cable a little at a time and see if that would help

My lawnmower had similar problem and ended up being a worn belt or stretched. When it was put to a higher position the angle changed and it worked by tightening the belt. Worth a check and see.

Next time it quits take the gas cap off for a few seconds and try starting it again, cap might have a plugged vent causing a vaccum, never know and it doesn't cost anything either ,

Are you talking about the cable to the transmission and how it connects?

I would first check and see if you are getting fuel to the carb, pull the line off and check. No fuel work back to the tank and see why, got fuel then it's your carb. Also it's good to have fresh fuel to eliminate that as a problem.

Maybe you could check by serial number what year your mower is and check other models of that year and see if the deck has changed from yours. I guess what I'm trying to say is that other models might have the same deck. Some on Amazon are around $15, don't work send it back. Good luck

Check your gas cap, needs to vent to let air back in tank, could be causing a vaccum. Also make sure your gas supply to your carb is flowing good, plugged fuel filter or bad lines could restrict.

You said it was free with the spark plug out, did you try with the spark plug in and exhaust taken off. Oil along with carbon build up on screen might not let out the exhaust. Just a thought.

It sounds like it's still a carb problem. I have taken the cap limiter off and taken the idle adjustment screw out and cleaned that good with carb cleaner. Follow the path ways with carb cleaner and fine wire like out of a wire brush or bread wire tie and compressed air. If you decide to remove...
