    Bench Grinder Wheel Replacement

Hello, as OP I picked up a Bauer 4.5"/7 Amp/11000 RPM Angle Grinder and a 1/4" thick 40 Grit Hercules Grinder Wheel today a Harbor Freight. So I been reading the manual and watching some you tube videos on how to properly use it. According to several of the videos, the Flap Disk grinder wheel is...

Blade engagement cable LT 2500 Craftsman

Have you checked to see if the deck tension spring is in place? With the spring disconnected or lost, there would be slack in the cable that could cause it to jump out of place

TroyBilt TB30R Blade Engagement Lever (Handle)

Well most common riding mowers the deck engagement lever is attached to a cable that is attached to the idler pulleys bracket on the deck. There is also a spring that attaches to the idler pulley bracket on one end and the deck on the other that keeps the deck engaged until you release it. Look...

    Bench Grinder Wheel Replacement

I went by Harbor Freight yesterday and looked at the Bauer 4 1/2" Grinder for $10.00. First thing I tried a 4 1/2" disk on it but I couldn't because the guard seemed to small to get in position to screw the disk on. I showed this to the HF salesman and he tried too but couldn't. We tried a 4"...

Well what I did was buy the WD40 White Lithium Grease Spray. Thanks for everybody's recommendations. Had to make choice on something, so that's what I did!

Murry self propelled push Mower with vacuum out oil Change?

At first I thought it was a manufacturing mistake and they had just missed it. Like they say "If all fails, read the manual" and it was right there "Use a Vacuum pump". Kinda like my Husqvarna Riding mower has the side plastic panels blocking access to the oil drain plug and the oil filter...

    Bench Grinder Wheel Replacement

I have been sharpening my lawn mower blades on an old bench grinder I inherited from my Father in Law for about the last 30 years. I put a new grinder wheel on it when I first got it but now I need a new grinder wheel. The old markings are wore off so I can't read the details type and size...

Murry self propelled push Mower with vacuum out oil Change?

Well I have to admit, draining the oil when the plug was on the bottom was kind of awkward being you had to elevate or tilt the deck to get a drain pan under it. I've been using my riding mower and just a weed eater for last 30 years, and when I bought this push mower, I delayed changing the oil...

Murry self propelled push Mower with vacuum out oil Change?

Is this something new not having an oil drain plug and requiring you to use a vacuum pump to vacuum out the oil from the oil input plug? I like to drove myself nuts figuring how to drain the oil out and finally looked at the manual and you have to vacuum it out. Is this wide spread in mowers now?

    Mower bogs down

This is from another angle, but in the spring the grass is tender and more easy to cut that allows you to cut faster and at lower RPM's. After cutting grass through the spring and into the latter part of the summer the grass get tougher and requires you to crank up the RPM's and even slow down...

    Love Greenworks mower

Har! I remember back in the 50's the electric mowers had to have a long extension cord. I never mowed with one but it looked mighty troublesome. They have come a long way since then. Glad you like your mower. May it give you very much trouble free service!

    Used Deck Needed

Well usually when the deck is gone it's just not feasible to replace with new. A good welder can do a lot for an old deck if it isn't too far gone. It's really hard to find a good used deck because you would need to find a repairman that has a lot of junked mowers sitting around. Then you would...

    What's ya'll Opinion of "Berryman B-12 CHEMTOOL"?

Yelp, I've found that if an engine is running rough because of a partially blocked carb, a little of this stuff mixed in with the gas running a while, the engine in a lot of cases will level right out and run smooth. If the engine won't even crank, then the thing to do is clean the carb by hand...

Husqvarna YTH18542 Deck Idler Tension Spring Broke. How much headache to Install new?

First let me say this, I always Pray for the Lords help with all my mechanic work. Well I did it and without pulling the deck. Husqvarna YTH18542 Deck Idler Tension Spring Broke. How much headache to Install new?

Was mowing today and noticed the deck engagement arm had lost a lot of its tension when I engaged it. So I shut her down and started checking the deck out and found what Husqvarna calls the "Return Spring" laying on top of the deck with one end broke off. I think I see the correct holes where I...

    Maintenance, Oiling your Riding Mower??

I was in Wally World tonight and was looking at the different spray lubricants but I couldn't remember what was recommended, so I didn't get nothing. After I got home and looked at this thread. Model YTH 18542 Mandrel Assembly

    Maintenance, Oiling your Riding Mower??

That's a new one on me. Graphite powder mixed with a little oil. For non grease fitting lubricating, in the past I have been using 30 SAE oil applied with a oil squirt can. Same oil that goes in the crank case. A little messy I reckon Got a lot of options opened up now. Let me see Hmmmm

    F725 big white smoke cloud

I don't know if you have completely confirmed you do have gas in your oil? Regarding the smoke bomb effect, I have had that happen when I started mowing and my oil cap was loose. Maintenance, Oiling your Riding Mower??

    Maintenance, Oiling your Riding Mower??

Sometimes I think I may go overboard on oiling so I wonder if I am the only one?! What's ya'll Opinion of "Berryman B-12 CHEMTOOL"?

Regarding Lawn mowers and two cycle chainsaws, weed eaters and etc, I've found if the engine is running rough or just barely running, you can mix a little of this in with the fuel and run it a while and many times it will straighten right out and run normal. It mostly works good for a carburetor...

    Model YTH 18542 Mandrel Assembly

OK Thanks, I might just try doing the bearing change out when the time comes and use this thread as a reference. Model YTH 18542 Mandrel Assembly

It appears that this subject is really subjective. I got started on these off brand Mandrels with grease fittings when my old Sears 2000 42" cut when the originals went out. I've had this riding mower since 2019 and after this much use I'm anticipating replacing them even though at this point they seem to be doing ok.
