Is this something new not having an oil drain plug and requiring you to use a vacuum pump to vacuum out the oil from the oil input plug? I like to drove myself nuts figuring how to drain the oil out and finally looked at the manual and you have to vacuum it out. Is this wide spread in mowers now?

This is from another angle, but in the spring the grass is tender and more easy to cut that allows you to cut faster and at lower RPM's. After cutting grass through the spring and into the latter part of the summer the grass get tougher and requires you to crank up the RPM's and even slow down...

Did you check the air filter. With the overfill of oil it may have saturated the filter.

Me, I would be using my Multi-meter to trace voltage from battery, switch on to starter to see where the voltage flow is stopping at. Your electrical schematic would be handy to trace that path

That's a new one on me. Graphite powder mixed with a little oil. For non grease fitting lubricating, in the past I have been using 30 SAE oil applied with a oil squirt can. Same oil that goes in the crank case. A little messy I reckon Got a lot of options opened up now. Let me see Hmmmm
