    Deck height adjustment

Yeah I’m puzzled also. I had already checked what you concluded but none of that is happening.

    Deck height adjustment

Hello S.A.E. That position is exactly where I moved my cable pins to. However, I could only lift the deck about halfway with the adjusting lever which made my deck lower than before. When I tested that height in my lawn, it was cutting way too short. I could not lift the deck any higher because...

    Deck height adjustment

I have checked everything you mentioned and all seems fine but when I placed the pins in the lowest hole, the deck lift handle went to the 4th position from the top before the deck topped out. That makes the deck much lower than before, when the lift handle would go all the way up. The issue is...

    Deck height adjustment

In the meantime, I lowered the cable pins to the lowest hole on the lift arms and that made it worse so back to square one.

    Deck height adjustment

I have read your post several times and still haven’t figured out what non-standard hole you are talking about. Did you drill a new hole?

    Oil filter

Is there a trick or easy solution to removing the oil filter on a Kohler Courage 22 hp SV715 without oil going everywhere on frame and dripping on the main engine pulley? I put a bunch of paper towels behind and below the filter but it still released a lot more oil than I thought was inside it...

    Deck height adjustment

Thanks again for your response. My deck does not have the hanging rods that are adjustable. As I mentioned earlier, my deck has the adjusting nut shown below. Also, the pull pins are already on the highest hole.

    Deck height adjustment

The deck is leveled correctly, and the tire pressure is correct. Excuse my ignorance, but I don't understand how a bushing would work. The large adjusting nut rides in notches and moves the deck either up or down, and I have adjusted it as high as it will go. There is a bolt that locks the nut...

    Deck height adjustment

Hi folks. My 2012 LTX1046 is cutting slightly lower on the height adjustment side. The height adjustment nut is on the highest possible setting. What else could I do to level this deck? Thanks for your help.

    Headlights on 2012 LTX 1046

I have never used the headlights or plan on using them in the future. Will there be an issue if I snip and terminate the red and green wires suppling power to the lights. Just want to get those out of the way. Thanks

    Which deck belt?

I had the exact same problem with the belt I ordered from MTD for my LTX1046. Part number under the hood is 954-04219 and that is what I ordered. Same problem as you, the belt was too long. I went to my local belt store and asked to cross the CC part number with the Megadyne belts they carry. I...

BELT for troy bilt pony 42 inch cut

When I ordered a new belt with the belt part number listed under the hood, it was way too long so I brought the old belt to my local "Belt Store". They matched it and I've had zero problems since.

    Does it have enough UMPHF

Good evening. I have a concern about my lawn tractor being able to pull a lawn dethatcher without trashing the trans. I have a 2012 LTX1046 Hydrostatic with a Kohler Courage 22HP engine which I bought used in 2018. It's a great machine for mowing; however, I have never pulled anything with it...

    LTX 1046 won't move.

Well ILENGINE, your suggestion was spot on. I tried the push/pull method on the brake arm, but this 71 yr old weakling could not get it to budge, so I put a wrench on the center adjustment nut, and when I loosened it less than 1/4 turn, the brake arm popped right into place. Everything works...

    LTX 1046 won't move.

Been a while since I had a problem with my 2012 Cub Cadet VTwin 22hp Kohler, Model #13AP91AT009, Serial #1E112H60400 that I purchased used two years ago. It only has 212 hrs. Two of the last five times mowing, when I went to reverse from the carport, I heard a high pitch whining noise, and the...

    Cub Cadet LTX1046

Help.. I have a 2012 Cub Cadet LTX 1046 with a Kohler Courage 22hp engine. Is there an easy way to remove the shroud from this engine? After removing all screws and the shroud was free, the genius CC design of the fuel tank bump out right above the shroud prevents it from being lifted off of the...

    Carburetor Gasket

I purchased a new carb for B&S 875EX series complete with gaskets and o-ring. When I removed the old carb, there was no gasket on the engine side. Only the one on the air filter side. There is the red o-ring, and a bracket holding a spring connected to the choke control, then the carburetor...
