The last shop I worked for, the tech only used this "top engine cleaner and lube" to clean out the inside of 2C carbs. He never used compressed air. He was a very good 2 cycle guy. Just a little bit will do ya.

Then I'd say it's a safety switch going bad. Since it's only when you push the lever, and the PTO is already engaged.

I'd suggest removing and inspecting the fuel solenoid. Sounds like it could be malfunctioning and about to go out.

When you pull the levers back to neutral, does it pick back up and run normal? Changing parts without knowing which part is bad can get expensive.

Not hitting every round doesn't sound like a blade problem. If the blades were hitting each other because they're too long, it would sound more like a machine gun. Remove the deck belt and re-check spindles.

Do you have a reverse button on the dash gone bad? Or maybe something built into the key switch? Does the engine bog down and die? Or is it like someone turned off the key?

Upon doing some research, apparently the aftermarket carbs are for gravity fed fuel systems. So I'm wondering if restricting the fuel going from the pump to the carburetor might work.

Well, this thread didn't solve anything. I'm having the same issue. Everything new, except the fuel pump. I get what @Rivets said, if the carb is getting fuel, then the pump must be OK. But then again, this is a mechanical fuel pump and since this vent tube apparently goes straight though...

Got the new carburetor in and fuel is still overflowing through the top vent.

According to Steve's Small Engine Saloon, ethanol isn't the worst thing in gas station gas. At least for 2 stroke engines.

I've bought OEM parts from Amazon. But moreso from Ebay. So far so good. I haven't been ripped off yet. (that I haven't been able to get my money back from Amazon themselves) And I've bought quite a few OEM parts.

It's been a while, but I think I did some price shopping on those, and IIRC, it was pretty expensive. So what I do is pour the stens 2C oil into one of these. It was kind of a pita getting the oil to the bottom of this bottle. But it makes it easier to get it right.

The M111358 bushings (24) are worn. I'm ordering some new ones. But was wondering if it would be OK to bend that arm (9A) the spring attaches to. Say maybe 1inch? Just enough to clear the belt? It's going to take a week to get the parts. I kind of need to mow before the rain comes.

If the deck is cracked, you'll be able to spot it better from the top, if the top is clean (around the spindle assembly's) I'm only guessing, but do you spindle housing mount from the bottom of the deck?
