    Re: 31F707 0112 E1

Somewhere on that engine should be a crankcase breather tube to the air cleaner. Take it off and see if there's blowby. If there's some serious smoke the rings are probably shot, or the cylinder is...
  6. Re: Engaging the blade drive clutch at full speed

With my old L130 if I were to engage that blade clutch at governed speed it would probably yank the deck out from under the machine, or at least snap the belt. I posted a question on here a while...

  8. Re: Briggs and Stratton 20HP Opposed Twin Crankshaft and Pistion Journals have scorin

Seems like the usual failure on the higher horse old school Briggs twins are conn. rod breakage. For sure, replace those. I'd check the crank for out of roundness, if good, clean it up and run it.

That Country Clipper Boulevard looks to be a pretty decent machine. What's the problem with it? Only thing I see is the smaller rear wheels that would give a rougher ride, especially on my yard.

I've bought a couple of the cheap carbs, had good luck with them usually combining them with parts from the old one. I'd say your old carb needs a needle and seat, or a float.
