Removing the coils kill wire provided spark an she cranked up. How long can I continue w/ this kill wire disconnected? Like is part of the coil failing? thanks

no spark issue, inteck 12.5hp won't start after adjusting valves and mowing 3 weeks ago,now no spark issue. she won't start. I double checked the valve adjustment an is fine. checked w/ the el cheapo spark tester fits in-between spark plug wire an spark plug. didn't see an lighting but then...
