Deere had been running. I stopped for a short time, and it seemed slower starting. Strong battery. It backfired through the muffler, ran a few seconds, but missing, then died. Would not start again. Used starter fluid, and still would not start. Spark was present. Ran bat. down trying to...

It was mowing fine. Today I started the tractor, depressed the pto and the engine quit. Cannot get the pto to turn on. Tested the pto switch. it was fine. double checked the seat switch, it was fine. Has new battery with 400 some cranking amps. Nothing stuck under the mower or in the belt...
