Twist Drill Bit Set Power Tool Accessories(6 Pcs/SET ) This one is like a mill for your handheld drill. I could've really used on of these when trying to get a different engine mounted on a ztr. The exhausts holes were lining up. I made a mess out of it with a Sawzall.

I thinking these could be used on a mower somehow. The vibration would cause a problem, no doubt, but they'd come in handy, at least for connection wires for diagnostic purposes.

I see a lot of pretty cool ads on FB and other places. So I thought I'd start a thread to post a few. Hopefully, others will find them useful. Spring Wire connectors

Speak for yourself. I whipped mine with a belt every time it was necessary. I got threatened by their mom a couple of times. But advised her of the enormous custody battle I'd initiate if she said another word about it. I was in a lot better shape 1 year after the divorce, than I was when we...

    Z335e engine surge

Those cheap aftermarket carbs fits several different HP's. But the jet's only actually fit one. I'll only buy an aftermarket carb for equipment that's on it's last leg. Customer just trying to finish out the season, or finish up his mowing til he can find a newer model. I've got a box of...

    Z335e engine surge

If yours has the Nikki style carb on it, I hate those things. Surging is usually caused by the pilot jet being clogged. But if it runs better at higher RPM's, you might try choking it a little at low idle. If that clears it up, then the pilot jet is probably clogged a little. And needs to be...

    Vinegar in the ultrasonic

I rinsed it good with water. And thought that was the reason for the rust coming back so quick. Lot's of good info on this thread. Thanks guys.

Getting rid of contaminated gas & oil

What I have is still very flammable. But not good enough to run in anything, like the splitter I'm working on now.

Getting rid of contaminated gas & oil

I suppose I could use some colored containers to mix the gas with oil. I just don't have any used oil at the moment. I had gotten rid of it at the end of the year. As it was straight up used oil and Carquest would take it. Now, all I have is that 5 gallon gas can and 3 or 4 milk jugs fill of...

Getting rid of contaminated gas & oil

So it would seem, we all probably get a few gallons of gas that's got water in it. Or oil that's got gas in it. My local autoparts place will allow me to bring in oil, but it can't have gas or water in it. They're getting pretty strict on that. So checking around, there doesn't seem to be a...

    Vinegar in the ultrasonic

So watching a couple of youtubes about getting rid of rust. The two I watched just showed them soaking the rusted tool in vinegar for like 24hours. Well, on this splitter I'm working on, I'd forgotten about the rusty air filter backplate. So I emptied out all the "awesome" in the US cleaner...

    Holy Smokes Stihl's prices.

I was looking for markings on my 08S, but didn't see any. . As far as servicing saws, 99% of my customers have only had carburetor problems. Or a bad bearing. I did a crank seal last year. But you are correct. I'm in an area that's heavily populated with loggers and firewood guys. So I'm...

Chainsaw chains and bars is something I really need to study up on. I don't even stock them, sell them or even sharpen them. I can sharpen them. I've always sharpened my own. And done a few for customers. But only very few. My MS271 came with a 20" bar.

Bought a new MS271 yesterday. $500 friggin bucks. Apparently Stihl's don't even come with a case now a days. The guy threw in a file.

It's not a real bad idea. Just turn the handle. No wrench or socket required. It's far enough away from your hand to not get oily. And you can probably do it with the engine still hot.
