JD 14sz,disassembled and cleaned the carb twice, factory settings on screw(high speed?), float and needle are excellent. Pops right off with a little gas down the carb but once thats gone it dies. It's hard to tell but having it full choke may cause it to run a bit longer. Anyone have any thoughts?

i believe theres a jet screw and idle screw on that...try backing out the jet screw and try it again...where are you getting the factory setting specs from?

Is it the Briggs & Stratton or the Kawasaki engine?

It's a 14SE not SZ, my error. It's a kawasaki.

Found the problem, opened the carb again and got a chunk o' gunk out of it, reassembled and, walla, fired up in three pulls. drive does not work nor does the electric start. But it runs.
