I am working on my JD 345 and I am wondering what holds the engine drive belt pulley on the crankshaft. Is it a taper fit? I do not see a set screw, does it just sit on top of the pto? Thanks for your replies and for this forum. OOOPS, Looks like I posted twice. A prime example of a Senoir Moment.
It's a precise fit, straight shaft and a key. PTO goes on next and a large bolt holds it all together. When installing a PTO make sure the anti-rotation cut on PTO engages the rod that prevents it from spinning.
