am restoring a turf pro riding mower 10.5 hp briggs & stratton and the spark plug has no fire.. also need an owners manual and the model and serial umbers are missing. I do have a model umber for the engine however, model 28D707, type 0123 01
Am happy to announce that after tearing into the 10.5 briggs found a rusted flywheel and coil. Broke out some trusty sandpaper and cleaned everything up, used a business card to set gap. Hooked up jumper cables and the engine fired right up. I know it had been setting for the last 7 or 8 years and everything looks good. There was no smoke so the rings are good. Now just need to drop the mowing deck off and see if I can get the mower to tram. I will give the mowing deck a going over while I have it off as well. Thanks everyone who took the time to post.
