OK, almost a year later, I now have confirmation on what happened and why my mower won't start. As suspected, "the wife" said she was mowing on the side of the house where there was a slight incline. She was mowing with the oil side up and it there is where the problem was and explained why the filter was oil-soaked. How does one fix this?
