trans. problem

lx176 john deere lawn mower-will not move forward except at a slow speed- oil level in trans is good

I assume this is a hydrostatic tranny, and if so, change the drive belt. I see them where the belt looks good, but wear over time will cause them to loose the required tension needed to make 'er go. You will only be out about $25 and an hour or so of work, of course depending on the number of beers......
