The blade won't shut off when the mower is in idle!

Not sure how the spring extension (#147) and spring return (#148) are suppose to attach...need a better diagram than the one that came with the mower owners manual!

At least you have the owner's manual that tells the make and model and such...we got nothing but two numbers 147 and 148

Maybe it hooks to #146 or #149?

Isn't there a handle or switch you move or push to engage the blades...what does "idle" have to do with it?

For whatever reason, sounds like the deck belt is too tight if you're saying you disengage the blades, drop the throttle to idle and they continue to spin.

One I had there was a spring to return the idler pulley after blade handle was moved to disengaged.
There was an arm that was bent down slightly and hit part of the deck and kept it from releasing the belt.
grass clippings and such can bind it also.
