I have an older Craftsman push mower with a 6.75hp tecumseh engine and it has a cracked primer bulb. Can the bulb alone be replaced or do i have to replace the whole carb?

Take the bulb off and down to your local mower shop, bet they have one that will work for you.
Good deal!! I will do that this week. the guy that owns the shop is a miserable so&so, I don't know how he stays in business. Maybe he doesn't like guys like me that come in and buy $10 bucks worth of parts every so often, but eventually I am buying a new mower and it most likely won't be from him because of his attitude.
You will notice that bad attitude with guys have been running shops for more than 20 years. He isn't grumpy becuase of the couple of times you only buy $10 parts, he is just grumpy. He still makes more on those little parts than he does on selling his new equipment. We have several shops in our area and I won't do business with any of them if I don't like their attitude.
